Expert Guide to Exterior Car Detailing

In our blog we are looking at Exterior Car Detailing as part of our Car Detailing series. The exterior of the car is the bit that people are most likely going to see, and it is the bit you will see as yo walk towards the car in the morning, so you want to make sure it is in a condition you are proud of and want to look back at every time you park up and get out. As we outlined in our ‘Guide to Detailing Preparation’ blog, you want to make sure that your car is properly prepared for other detailing processes. If you haven’t washed all the panels and removed all the dirt from it you risk causing more damage to the car then you do good. If there are already large scratches and blemishes in the paint work and they can’t be remedied using the following steps, you might want to consider paint correction first. This will restore the paint and remove any of those nasty marks. So if you haven’t yet, you should definitely give that a read first to make sure it is done right and the car is perfectly set to be further detailed. Cars that have a vinyl wrap can still be detailed. If the job has been done professionally then you won’t see any joins in prominent areas of the body panels and you can still detail it as you would the factory paint finish. When it comes to exterior vehicle detailing you can break it down into 5 distinct categories;
1. Claying
2. Waxing
3. Polishing
4. Wheel and Brake Detailing
5. Glass Detailing
